PROJECT 008: THE AZTECS (chapter 2)

Our latest collection, inspired by Aztec mythology and its legendary symbolism, seeks to bridge the wisdom of the past with the struggle for mental health and well-being. Each design serves as a pillar of inspiration, encouraging strength, wisdom, and resilience in the face of adversity. This drop is more than just a collection of cool designs; it's a movement towards integrating the lessons of the past into the fabric of our present challenges. Through these designs, we invite our community to wear their stories of overcoming, of finding light in darkness, and of discovering true strength in wisdom, as we collectively navigate the journey of mental health.

LOVE STORY (LEFT)

Through our "LOVE STORY" design, we aim to inspire our community to embrace the strength found in love and the power of overcoming challenges together, reflecting our core belief in the intertwining of physical and mental well-being.

This graphic features the story of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl - a tragic legend rooted in Aztec mythology, involving two lovers whose love ended in sorrow. Iztaccíhuatl, the daughter of an Aztec emperor, fell in love with Popocatépetl, a warrior. Popocatépetl was sent to war with a promise from the emperor that he could marry Iztaccíhuatl upon his return, assuming he returned victorious. While he was away, Iztaccíhuatl received false news of his death and died of grief. Upon Popocatépetl's return and discovering the fate of his beloved, he carried her body to the mountains, hoping the cold would wake her. Grieving, he stayed by her side until they were both turned into mountains by the gods, with Popocatépetl still watching over Iztaccíhuatl, symbolized by the smoking mountain that continues to watch over the sleeping woman mountain.

FEATHERED SERPENT (MIDDLE)

With the "FEATHERED SERPENT" design, we aim to highlight the importance of knowledge and insight over brute force.

Quetzalcoatl, one of the most significant deities in Aztec mythology, embodies the spirit of knowledge, creativity, and fertility. Often depicted as a feathered serpent, he bridges the earth and the sky, merging the physical with the spiritual, and symbolizes the duality of human nature. Quetzalcoatl is revered as the god of the wind, the bringer of life, and the patron of priests, a symbol of enlightenment and wisdom. His legend is rich with themes of rebirth, resilience, and the pursuit of higher understanding, values that deeply resonate with our brand's mission to promote mental health. By incorporating Quetzalcoatl into our collection, we aim to inspire our community to embrace the pursuit of knowledge, to find balance, and to recognize the strength in wisdom and self-reflection. This aligns with our commitment to supporting mental well-being, encouraging a holistic approach to health that encompasses both the physical and the spiritual.

DARK MOMENTS (RIGHT)

In our third design, we pay homage to Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec god of the underworld, symbolizing the transformative power of darkness into light. This design serves as a reminder of hope and renewal, reflecting our brand's dedication to mental health by encouraging you to find strength and light within yourself during your darkest times.

Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec god of the dead and the underworld, known as Mictlan, plays a pivotal role in Aztec culture, embodying the cycle of death and rebirth. Ruling over the afterlife with a firm but just hand, he oversees the final journey of souls, symbolizing the inevitable end that all living beings must face. However, Mictlantecuhtli also represents the potential for life and renewal that stems from the depths of darkness, embodying the belief that death is not an end but a transition into a new beginning.
